We're starting something new with this event... splitting the meetup time into two sessions. The first will be a rotating Docker 101 session and the second will be an advanced topic (could be a talk, workshop, use case, or whatever else)! Between the two sessions, we'll have food and time to network. So, come with an appetite and questions!
There will be a total of four Docker 101 sessions. Once we run out of the four sessions, we start over! That way, new members can easily jump in, but there's still plenty of "deep stuff" for the long-timers.
For this Docker 101 session, we'll be talking all about containers! What problems are they solving? How do they do solve those problems? What's the anatomy of a container? How is an image different than a container? And more! Of course, there will be plenty of live demos and opportunities for questions afterwards.
For the advanced session, more information will be posted soon! So, be on the lookout for an update!
How to find Modea/Parking Info - the Modea office is located in downtown Blacksburg in Kent Square. The best places to park are in the Kent Square Parking garage or on Draper Road (parking is free on Draper after 5:00 PM, and $1/hour in the garage). If you park in the garage, come down to the first floor of Kent Square to the lobby, and the office is located there. If parking on the street, enter Kent Square from either the Main Street or Washington Street entrance. All attendees will need to sign-in on the iPad located outside the office, and can enter "Michael Irwin" as the contact person.
